Alan Simmonds

Alan Simmonds Alan has over 26 years of solid experience in governance (technology, corporate and contract) and strategy across a broad spectrum of industry and commerce resulting in a proven capability of helping organisations meet their regulatory and legislative obligations.

He has significant practical experience of how governance and regulatory issues are successfully managed and adopted by organisations through the innovative use of organisational structures, processes, controls and audit.

Alan is the prime author of the research paper Governance of Outsourcing for the ITGI and ISACA and is a key contributor to standards organisations such as the Open Group in the area of enterprise architecture governance.

David Gilmour

David GilmourDavid has worked in the internationally and within the UK for the last 24 years with key responsibilities in major corporations specialising in contractual relationship management and cultural integration in command and demand economies.

In the Central European Republics and the Community of Independent States, he assisted in-country branches of global entities to integrate into the local cultures. Implementation and formalisation of robust and pragmatic governance processes were key to success.

David's contribution is to implement these controls in a practical manner across and within multiple different cultural and legal systems and companies, ensuring a consistent approach and sensible compliance with relevant standards.

John Brits

John BritsJohn has worked principally in the financial services, large retail, telecoms and military sectors for over 20 years.

Most recently, he has provided consultancy and development of business governance processes. This included the design and development of workflow automation, and the development of governance controls to meet compliance obligations.

He also has developed highly automated large-scale systems for the installation, deployment, integration, configuration and maintenance of systems.

Eric Smith

Eric Smith An experienced enterprise architect, business analyst and consultant, Eric has over 31 years experience in the specification, design and delivery of large scale software systems in the manufacturing, retail and financial services sectors.

He has practical experience across all aspects of the systems lifecycle, with particular emphasis on the alignment of IT and business strategy through comprehensive stakeholder management, accurate capture of business requirements, and the application of principle-based enterprise architecture frameworks.

Most recently he has been developing and applying model-based techniques to the capture, validation and communication of business requirements for the citizen's portal to a major government department.

David Culver

Dave CulverDave has over 30 years experience as a respected technical architect specialising as a software design and implementation engineer. He has extensive experience of operating systems, device drivers and communications and has architected large-scale innovative solutions across a variety of industries including banking, mining, computer OEM suppliers and defence. Dave's experience covers high-volume transaction processing, software distribution and management, device emulators, communications and enterprise service buses.

He was instrumental in the design leadership of a highly successful software organisation's product base.

Dave has lead many technology due diligence initiatives supporting significant business change programmes with a specalism in the financial services industry. In this area he has a proven record in establishing the large scale rationalisation of the technology landscape.

Kevin McLoughlin

Kevin McLoughlinKevin is an experienced business and information systems professional and large-scale programme manager.

He has particular skills in the areas of programme management, strategic and technical consulting, and the design and implementation of large-scale technology solutions.

With 30 years in business Kevin has a proven record of successfully implementing principles, practices and technical approaches that have contributed to sound and robust solutions to both business and technical problems.

Kevin has worked across many industry sectors including financial services, IT services and property development.

Nicholas Sleep

MEng Manchester, MBA Cranfield

Nicholas SleepNick has over 17 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

He has led clients in validating systems for use under Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulatory control.

He has managed complex multi-site business process engineering projects within pharmaceutical early-stage research. In addition, he has defined and rolled-out project management and development standards.

More recently, Nick has been CEO of a biotechnology start-up company developing advanced medicinal devices.
